PT Performance Coach in London (Field-Based) - YPT

£25,000 per annum + performance-based bonuses (OTE £39,400 per annum)

Location: field-based within your defined region, with regular travel to partner clubs.

Our client is YPT, a fast-growing personal training network dedicated to helping PTs build successful, sustainable careers across partner health and fitness clubs. They're looking for a driven, people-focused PT Performance Coach to join their growing team in a coaching-first role at the heart of YPT's future, focused on the development, performance and retention of personal trainers across a defined region.

This is a role for someone who lives and breathes performance coaching. You'll spend your time on the ground with PTs, coaching them one-to-one and in groups to help them fill their diaries, grow their income and build lasting businesses, while liaising locally with clubs and supporting the wider business to launch new trainers and contracts smoothly.

On offer is a genuinely varied, people-first role with a strong OTE, real autonomy across your own region, and clear opportunities to progress into senior and national positions.

Working pattern: Part time, 30 hours per week (Monday to Friday), with occasional weekend work as required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Key responsibilities:

  • Performance coaching: Deliver regular one-to-one coaching to PTs, helping them fill their diaries, grow their income and build lasting businesses, and organise and deliver regional hub sessions, LevelUp events and other development initiatives.
  • Retention: Own retention as your headline success measure, conducting regular check-ins to monitor performance and satisfaction, and using dashboard and CRM data to spot trends and put retention strategies in place before issues escalate.
  • Club liaison and onboarding: Liaise with clubs locally to ensure site inductions are completed for every newly onboarded PT, and support other departments with onboarding and the launch of new contracts.
  • Platforms and compliance: Ensure PTs are onboarded onto coaching, booking and payment platforms and enrolled on current benefit and education programmes, and facilitate ongoing CPD and progression through Your Academy.

About you:

  • Experienced: A minimum of three years' experience as a practising personal trainer, with a recognised Level 3 Personal Training qualification or above.
  • Credible: A role model PTs will respect and want to follow, having walked the path yourself and continuing to lead by example.
  • A natural coach: Strong coaching, mentoring and relationship-building skills, with excellent communication both one-to-one and when presenting to groups.
  • Organised and self-motivated: Comfortable managing your own diary across a region with minimal supervision, and confident using CRM systems, apps and data platforms.
  • Mobile: Full UK driving licence and willing to travel across your region for site visits.
