The Opportunity:

We are recruiting for an experienced and driven General Manager to lead The Landor – a large, high-volume fun pub in the heart of Clapham.

This is a standout opportunity to take full ownership of a busy, well-established site with strong wet-led trade, live sport, private hire, and a loyal local following. We’re looking for a hands-on operator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can deliver both commercial performance and exceptional guest experience.

About the Role

As General Manager, you will have full responsibility for the performance of the business, including:

  • Driving sales, profit, and operational excellence
  • Leading, developing and inspiring a large front-of-house team
  • Managing all aspects of HR, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, disciplinaries and staff welfare
  • Ensuring full compliance with employment law and company procedures
  • Delivering high standards across service, atmosphere, and compliance
  • Managing labour, stock, and GP control
  • A hands-on leader who is visible on the floor and leads the team through busy services
  • Maximising revenue through events, sport and peak trading periods

About You

We’re looking for a confident and energetic leader who:

  • Has proven experience as a General Manager in a high-volume pub/bar
  • Has strong experience managing HR processes and team performance
  • Is commercially astute with solid financial understanding
  • Leads from the front and is excellent with both customers and staff
  • Has experience managing busy, high-volume trading environments
  • Is confident handling disciplinary processes and difficult conversations
  • Is passionate about hospitality and creating a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere
  • Can build, train and retain a high-performing team
