What you will be doing, in roles we place
- Setting the public affairs strategy for an organisation or a client account, and being accountable for its results.
- Leading engagement with Ministers, MPs, Peers, civil servants and special advisers on the issues that matter most.
- Managing and developing a small team or a portfolio of accounts.
- Advising senior leadership, trustees or clients on political risk and opportunity.
- Overseeing consultation responses, position papers and campaigns that shift opinion, not just record it.
What clients are looking for
- Proven experience managing public affairs work, whether in-house, in agency, in Parliament or in party politics.
- A track record of building relationships with senior political and official stakeholders, and using them to deliver outcomes.
- The judgement to manage risk, and the confidence to advise senior leaders under pressure.
- Strong people management skills, alongside excellent written and spoken English.
