The Role
You’ll support the delivery of the MAG Public Affairs strategy and help to increase the levels of engagement and influence with stakeholders across Manchester Airport’s catchment area of the North, Wales and Scotland. You’ll assist the Head of Corporate Affairs on day-to-day stakeholder engagement and public affairs activity, as well as providing support on key projects and workstreams such as securing better surface access to the airport, promoting Manchester Airport’s role as the UK’s global gateway in the North, and supporting the airport’s growth ambitions within the context of the sustainability agenda. You’ll develop and maintain positive working relationships with a wide range of external stakeholders in the fields of politics, business and local government. You’ll also keep the business, including senior leaders, abreast of key policy developments and their relevance to Manchester Airport and MAG overall.

What will make you successful?
You’ll have relevant experience in a political, public affairs or external relations environment. You’ll have excellent relationship-building and communication skills, strong written skills and ability to gather and analyse data. You’ll be organised and have the ability to work to tight deadlines and effectively manage multiple tasks at once.
