Public Cloud TSM – 6-Month Contract
Location: Manchester or Halifax
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week
Contract: 6 months
Rate: £350/day inside IR35
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Public Cloud TSM / Cloud Financial Management professional to support the financial management, reporting and governance of public cloud consumption across a large enterprise cloud environment.
The role will focus on converting complex Azure, AWS and GCP usage data into accurate financial reporting, chargeback/showback calculations, cost allocation insights, executive dashboards and forecast views that enable informed decision-making and improved cost control.
Your Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain monthly cloud consumption finance reporting packs covering usage, spend, trends and key financial movements.
- Perform consumption charging calculations, validation, reconciliations and cost allocation analysis to support recharge, showback and chargeback models.
- Develop and enhance executive dashboards, KPIs and analytical views using Power BI, SQL, Excel Power Query and data modelling.
- Analyse large datasets from multiple sources, identify data-quality gaps and strengthen reporting controls and accuracy.
- Support forecasting and variance analysis to identify cloud consumption and cost drivers.
- Work closely with Finance, service owners and cloud/platform teams to explain consumption trends and financial movements.
- Translate complex cloud consumption data into clear insights for senior stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting and improve financial management processes.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong analytical capability using Power BI, SQL, Excel Power Query, data modelling and dashboard development.
- Experience with FinOps, cloud financial management, consumption-based charging, cost allocation, chargeback or showback.
- Experience in financial reporting and analysis, including forecasting, reconciliations, variance analysis and month-end reporting.
- Understanding of public cloud consumption data across Azure, AWS and/or GCP.
- Ability to translate cloud usage and consumption data into meaningful business and financial insights.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience working across Finance, Technology and senior business teams.
- Experience improving reporting processes, data quality, controls and automation.

Desirable Skills
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Tableau, Looker or Python.
- Experience developing executive-level cloud cost and consumption dashboards.
- Knowledge of cloud governance, KPI frameworks and financial transparency.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud environments.
