Are you passionate about tackling health inequalities and creating lasting change for communities?
NHS Fife Public Health is seeking an experienced and motivated Public Health Programme Lead to lead and support a Fife-wide programme of work focused on reducing poverty, improving population health, promoting prevention, and addressing the wider determinants of health. The role will contribute to key priorities including Good Food Nation, healthy weight, physical activity, inclusion health, and reducing health inequalities across Fife.
This is a strategic and collaborative role, working across NHS Fife, Fife Health and Social Care Partnership, Fife Council, Community Planning Partners, the third sector, and local communities. You will play a key role in delivering NHS Fife's population health priorities and wider partnership plans, influencing policy, practice, and decision-making to create healthier and fairer communities. Working with a broad range of partners, you will help shape and deliver action on poverty, prevention, and the wider determinants of health, ensuring that evidence and public health intelligence inform local priorities and improvements.
You will provide specialist public health advice and strategic leadership, leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes and initiatives that improve population health and reduce health inequalities. You will support multi-agency forums and networks, use evidence and data to identify priorities, monitor outcomes, and drive continuous improvement, and build effective partnerships that strengthen collaborative action across organisations and communities. The role offers the opportunity to influence a broad range of agendas including poverty reduction, Good Food Nation priorities, healthy weight, physical activity, and wider population health improvement and prevention programmes.

Qualifications and Experience
- Postgraduate qualification to Master's level in Public Health, Health Promotion, or a related field
- Highly developed specialist knowledge of public health practice and population health improvement
- Strong understanding of health inequalities, poverty, inclusion health, Good Food Nation priorities, healthy weight, physical activity, and evidence-based approaches to prevention
- Experience of policy development and implementation, programme management, partnership working, and collaborative action across a range of agencies and communities
- Excellent analytical, communication, facilitation, and influencing skills
- Leadership, organisational, and project management skills required to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a complex environment

Salary
