Public Health Senior Project Officer (Fixed Term – 1 Year)
Hours: Full-time, 36 hours
Contract: Fixed Term – 1 year
Salary: BR13 (£46,952 - £50,867)
Location: Bromley Civic Centre

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile, system-wide priorities that will make a meaningful difference to the health and wellbeing of Bromley residents. You will join a supportive, forward-thinking team working across the Council and the One Bromley partnership to deliver impactful public health programmes.
About The Role
As a key member of the Public Health team, you will support the development, coordination and delivery of priority public health programmes, with a particular focus on:
- Implementation of the Bromley Health and Wellbeing Strategy
- Delivery of the Bromley Suicide Prevention Plan
- Development and coordination of work to provide project support for addictions

- Supporting programme management and delivery of priority public health initiatives
- Leading or contributing to communications and stakeholder engagement activity
- Supporting commissioning processes, contract monitoring, and service development
- Facilitating multi-agency partnership working groups and governance arrangements
- Using data, intelligence, and lived experience to inform service improvement
- Contributing to work to reduce health inequalities and improve outcomes for vulnerable populations
About You
We are seeking a motivated and organised individual with:
- Experience in public health, health improvement, or a related field
- Strong project support and coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- A good understanding of health inequalities and the wider health and care system
- The ability to interpret and present data and evidence clearly
You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent experience) and committed to continuous professional development. Flexibility to attend occasional evening meetings and travel within Bromley will be required.
