Public Health Principal - Healthy Population Portfolio

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Public Health Team as a Public Health Principal within the Healthy Population portfolio. You will provide strategic leadership for key public health services and transformation programmes, working collaboratively with senior leaders, elected members, NHS colleagues, and wider partners to influence strategy, strengthen prevention, improve health and wellbeing, and address health inequalities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for key public health services and transformation programmes.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders, elected members, NHS colleagues, and wider partners.
  • Influence strategy, strengthen prevention, improve health and wellbeing, and address health inequalities.
  • Lead the development, commissioning, and delivery of evidence-based programmes.
  • Ensure resources are used effectively and services respond to the needs of communities.
  • Provide specialist public health advice and oversee programme performance.
