Job Title: PR Executive

Contract Type: Permanent
Office Based: Holborn, London | Hybrid working, 3 days a week in the office

Are you a naturally curious storyteller with strong writing skills and a passion for building positive brand reputation?

At Whitbread, we're looking for a PR Executive to join the Premier Inn Brand Marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering communications activity for one of the UK's most recognised hospitality brands, helping to identify compelling stories, support PR campaigns and build relationships with media and internal stakeholders.

Whilst this role sits within a wider Brand Marketing function, the immediate PR team is small and highly collaborative. As part of a close-knit team of three, you'll become an integral member of the team and will be expected to work with a high degree of ownership, initiative and self-sufficiency whilst having the support of experienced communications professionals around you.

What you'll be doing:

  • Identify and develop story opportunities that support Premier Inn's brand and business objectives.
  • Research, write and distribute engaging press releases and communication materials.
  • Support the planning and delivery of PR campaigns and media activity.
  • Act as a key contact for communications agencies, attending meetings and helping to coordinate activity.
  • Respond to media enquiries, including journalist requests, stay requests and reactive issues.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Marketing, Operations, Guest Relations, Sustainability, Commercial and Legal teams.
  • Support reputation management activity and assist with proactive and reactive media relations.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours PR on-call rota, including occasional weekend cover, supporting media enquiries and issues management when required.
  • Contribute ideas and recommendations for future PR opportunities aligned to business priorities and wider brand strategy.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
