About the Role
We're looking for an experienced PR Strategist to join our extended team and lead PR delivery across a growing portfolio of events-industry clients.
What you'll be doing
- Owning PR strategy end to end - initial concept through to execution and results reporting, for a portfolio of events, entertainment tech, and broadcast clients
- Leading client briefing and strategy meetings, translating business objectives into sharp, actionable PR plans
- Building and pitching standout media campaigns that land coverage in the outlets that matter to our clients
- Cultivating and actively managing a strong network of trade and national media contacts across events, live entertainment, and broadcast
- Securing high-value opportunities for clients: press coverage, expert comment, speaking slots, and award wins
- Writing and refining press releases, thought leadership, and media pitches that cut through
- Acting as the senior PR voice in client relationships - presenting confidently, handling pushback, and building genuine trust
- Working closely with FiveTwelve's content, social, and brand strategy teams to make sure every message lands as one coherent story
- Spotting proactive PR opportunities before clients even ask - reactive newsjacking, trend-tying, award season planning, etc.

What we're looking for
- A proven track record as a PR strategist or senior PR consultant, ideally agency-side, with real campaigns and coverage you can point to
- Experience within events, live entertainment, entertainment tech, or broadcast - you understand this industry, not just PR in general
- A genuine, active media contacts book you can put to work from day one
- Confidence running client briefings and strategy sessions solo - you can hold the room and lead the thinking, not just take notes
- Sharp writing skills across formats - releases, pitches, bylines, thought leadership
- Commercially minded - you connect PR activity back to client goals and can prove impact
- UK-based, available for occasional in-person meetings/collaboration
- Comfortable operating independently as part of a freelance/associate network, juggling multiple clients at pace

The details
- Freelance/part-time basis - day rate or retainer, depending on scope
- Ongoing, with scope to grow as our client roster expands
