Role: Public Sector Account Director

Location: UK Wide
Salary: £100k base x2 OTE

We’re looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Account Executive to join one of our most exciting clients, focused on delivering managed infrastructure, storage, cyber security and networking solutions into the UK public sector.

This is a strategic enterprise sales role, responsible for developing new opportunities across central government, local government, healthcare, education, emergency services, defence and wider public sector organisations.

You’ll be responsible for identifying and developing new accounts, navigating complex procurement processes and building long-term relationships with senior technology, security and procurement stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive New Business: Identify, develop and close high-value opportunities across UK public sector organisations.
  • Own Your Territory: Develop and execute a strategic territory plan, identifying target organisations, key stakeholders and whitespace opportunities.
  • Build Senior Relationships: Establish trusted relationships with CIOs, IT Directors, CISOs, Heads of Infrastructure, Procurement and other senior public sector stakeholders.
  • Lead Complex Sales Cycles: Manage large, multi-stakeholder sales processes from initial engagement through to negotiation, procurement and close.
  • Position Transformation: Demonstrate how managed infrastructure, storage, backup, cyber security and networking solutions can support public sector organisations with resilience, security, cost optimisation and digital transformation.
  • Navigate Public Sector Procurement: Work effectively within public sector frameworks, tenders and complex procurement processes.
  • Land & Expand: Win new public sector accounts and develop them into long-term strategic customers through cross-sell, upsell and expansion opportunities.
  • Market Development: Stay close to public sector technology priorities, infrastructure challenges and evolving cyber security requirements to identify new commercial opportunities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
