We're looking for an experienced individual to join our Data, Automation, and AI Specialist team. This team is responsible for helping customers to understand their data challenges, identify processes to be improved through automation, and support them with their AI strategy and journey.
Since acquiring Oakland, we've strengthened our core services offering and continue to collaborate closely with market-leading technologies, including IBM, Microsoft, and Snowflake.
Your Role
As a Data, Automation & AI Specialist, you'll join our Specialist Sales team and become a trusted advisor in one of our core technology towers: Data, Automation & AI. You'll work closely with Account Managers to help customers harness the power of data, automation, and artificial intelligence to drive insights, efficiency, and innovation.
This is an exciting entry-level opportunity to build a successful career in tech sales, with strong earning potential, uncapped commission, and structured progression. Prior technical experience is preferred and must have a clear understanding of Public Sector organisations.
As a Data, Automation & AI sales specialist, you'll be responsible for:
- Consultative Sales & Advisory Provide expert advice on data strategy, automation tools, and AI-driven solutions.
- Help customers align technology with business outcomes using Softcat's consultative framework.
- Solution Design & Technical Engagement Lead discussions around data platforms, analytics, AI, and automation.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in AI, Automation, and data platforming.
- Customer Engagement & Account Strategy Support high-value Public Sector organisations.
- Collaborate with Account Managers to deliver rich customer experiences.
- Collaboration & Enablement Partner with cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure seamless delivery.
- Work closely with Oakland to drive services sales.
- Service Delivery Oversight Coordinate with Professional Services and Managed Services teams for successful implementation and ongoing support.

- Experience in Public Sector technology sales
- Entrepreneurial mindset and self-starter attitude
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
