Join our Legal team

This is an exciting opportunity to join the in-house legal team at Softcat. We are a friendly and supportive team based in Softcat's Manchester office, but we work closely with colleagues across all our offices.

About Us

As one of the UK's leading IT infrastructure providers and a FTSE 250 listed company, we have built a reputation for excellence. Our strategy is simple – we believe that highly engaged employees are the key to building customer trust and loyalty over the years. This trust and loyalty, combined with our market leading growth and performance, enables us to invest in our technology and services capabilities.

The continuing success and expansion of the business means the Legal team are becoming increasingly busy. We are looking for a commercial paralegal who can provide pragmatic, commercial and jargon-free legal advice to colleagues at all levels of the business.

The Role

As Public Sector Paralegal, you'll be responsible for:

  • Advising on framework terms
  • Reviewing and negotiating customer and supplier contracts to flow down framework terms
  • Creating bespoke contracts where required e.g. referral agreements
  • Providing ad hoc legal advice e.g. termination of contracts
  • Managing our Legal inbox, including dealing with queries and supporting the allocation of matters to the wider team
  • Supporting the development of our precedents and process improvements
  • Delivering contract and mandatory regulatory training to account managers and the partner alliances team

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
