Role Overview:
Trellix is seeking an experienced, quota-carrying Public Sector Account Manager to lead, grow, and secure high-value public sector accounts across the UK and Ireland.
In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior government and security stakeholders, positioning Trellix’s cybersecurity portfolio (endpoint, data security, SecOps, and Trellix WISE) to drive new business and expand strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Territory & Pipeline Strategy: Execute account strategies across UK&I public sector bodies, proactively generating new pipeline and closing competitive displacements.
- Strategic Expansion: Grow existing accounts by identifying whitespace and transitioning single-product buyers into long-term cybersecurity partners.
- Procurement & Partner Leadership: Navigate public procurement frameworks, tenders, and complex deal execution alongside strategic channel partners and SIs.
- Executive Engagement: Build C-level relationships with CISOs, CIOs, and government procurement leads to articulate Trellix’s cyber resilience value proposition.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Orchestrate internal technical, services, and renewals teams using MEDDPICC methodology to maximize deal execution and forecast accuracy.

About You
- Proven direct enterprise sales experience closing complex cybersecurity or technology deals within UK&I public sector markets.
- Deep knowledge of public sector procurement, formal frameworks, governance, and long sales cycles across central government, defence, or healthcare.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to build business cases for C-level buyers and engage technically with CISOs.
- Demonstrated proficiency with enterprise sales frameworks (MEDDPICC/MEDDIC) and accurate pipeline management.
- Flexibility for UK&I travel and eligibility for UK security clearance, if required.
Measures of Success
Success in this role will be measured through:
- Quota Attainment: Hitting revenue, new-business, and expansion targets.
- Pipeline Growth: Building sustainable, high-quality public sector opportunity pipelines.
- Account Expansion: Successfully expanding existing customer relationships into multi-year partnerships.
- Operational Excellence: Maintaining strong forecast accuracy and rigorous MEDDPICC sales discipline.
