Kuperard Publishers & Distributors are seeking a versatile, motivated, and detail-oriented Publishing Assistant to join our small but agile team. This is an excellent opportunity for a bright, organised individual looking to build a career within a dynamic independent publisher.

We publish the internationally recognised Culture Smart! and act as UK distributors for major US publishing houses. Our diverse lists span travel and a wide range of non-fiction, including Religion, Mind Body Spirit, Self-Help, Politics, and History.

  • Manage and maintain accurate metadata across all platforms, ensuring correct availability, pricing, and cover images.
  • Provide title information to Amazon, key buyers, and accounts in the UK and internationally.
  • Support regular promotions and advertising campaigns across UK and foreign markets.
  • Oversee the production of marketing materials, including catalogues and AIs for sales representatives.
  • Curate social media content and develop strategies to enhance brand engagement and grow audience reach.
  • Report on and analyse stock, sales, and advertising performance, identifying opportunities to improve ROI.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications, with high competency in Excel essential.
  • Experience with InDesign is desirable but not essential.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms and WordPress for website and blog updates is an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of publishing processes, production workflows, and metadata standards.
  • Strong data analysis skills, including experience with Amazon analytics tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Highly motivated, able to manage multiple projects independently.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
