About Us

We are a vibrant co-educational, non-denominational primary school, educating children between the ages of 3 and 11. Located in the charming garrison town of Warminster, Wiltshire, our staff are dedicated to creating a safe and exciting place for children to thrive and learn. Our school values of respect, kindness and honesty are central to everything we do and are at the heart of a strong sense of belonging for all in our school community. We take the success of every child very personally and offer a wide range of opportunities to help them develop as confident individuals. In April 2024, we were proud to have retained our ‘Good’ Ofsted rating and were praised for being a fully inclusive school where pupils are resilient and strive to be the best they can be. We are part of the Acorn Education Trust, which provides exciting opportunities to collaborate and improve local education.

About the Role

The Avenue Primary School and Children’s Centre is looking to appoint a caring, dedicated and proactive Pupil and Parent Support Assistant to support pupils and families, including our military families. Working closely with the Headteacher, DSL, SENCO and wider school team, the successful candidate will lead Early Help, support safeguarding as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, liaise with external agencies including Wiltshire Council, manage referrals and attend relevant meetings. They will provide emotional and practical support to children and parents, promote attendance and inclusion, and offer targeted support to military families experiencing issues such as deployment and transition. The role also involves maintaining positive links with the military community, keeping up to date with relevant services and training, and maintaining accurate records. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous, although relevant training will be provided.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
