Purchase Ledger Assistant

Location: Cheadle, Greater Manchester (Hybrid)
Employment type: Full-time, permanent
Salary: £29,000 a year

Like numbers, enjoy getting things right, and fancy doing it in the wine trade? We’re looking for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our Finance team at our head office in Cheadle.

Boutinot is an independent wine producer, importer, and distributor. We make wine at our own estates, including Henners in East Sussex, and work with producers around the world to supply independent merchants, restaurants, bars, and some of the UK’s best-known retailers. Our head office is at Boundary House in Cheadle.

The role

You’ll help run our purchase ledger day to day, working closely with our Purchase Ledger Supervisor and colleagues across the business. It’s about making sure our suppliers are paid accurately and on time, and that the Finance team can rely on the numbers.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
