Purchase Ledger Assistant

Permanent role

Bingley – Full-Time 36.5 hours

The Role:

Responsible for the accurate and timely input of supplier invoices in our approval tool, Yooz and for the production of purchase ledger information that can be used by both the Finance team and commercial managers within the business.

You will be trustworthy and possess a high level of integrity and confidentiality. The role will require teamwork and a strong work ethic to achieve results.

The Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the timely and accurate processing of purchase invoices through the Yooz application.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure that invoices are approved in a timely manner
  • Deal with supplier queries to find an appropriate solution in a professional manner.
  • Preparing and processing supplier payment runs.
  • Adhere to financial controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the purchase ledger, including reconciliation of supplier statements to the purchase ledger.

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role, and you should be comfortable liaising with all levels of management.
  • Excellent computer skills are necessary for this role – you will need to learn how to use the Yooz application.
  • Microsoft Office skills are an advantage for this role, particularly Excel.
  • Applicants should be arithmetically literate, as this role is encompassed by numbers.
  • Experience of working in a Finance Department would be an advantage but not essential.
