At Ontic, we’re a leading global aerospace OEM, trusted by our customers to extend the life of their aircraft and keep the world flying. We’re looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our Finance team on a 6-month fixed term contract.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail, good numerical skills, and experience working in a manufacturing environment. You’ll support the day-to-day running of the purchase ledger, working closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure invoices, expenses, and queries are processed accurately and efficiently.
What you’ll be doing
- Processing purchase ledger invoices and expenses through SAP Concur.
- Ensuring invoices are correctly matched to purchase orders, where required.
- Ensuring all invoices are accurately coded to the correct general ledger accounts.
- Completing supplier statement reconciliations.
- Completing service desk requests as required, including supplier or customer account set-ups, payment queries, and invoice issues.
- Managing and resolving queries from suppliers in a timely and professional manner.
- Assisting with the production of month-end reconciliations and year-end transactions.
- Working closely with Supply Chain and Goods Receipt teams to resolve invoice and purchase order queries.
- Supporting the wider Finance team with other purchase ledger activities as required.

What you’ll need
Essential
- Good numerical ability, with at least three GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths.
- Good IT literacy.
- Strong attention to detail and a logical approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise your own workload.
- Confident communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and suppliers at different levels.
- Ability to investigate and resolve queries in a timely manner.
- A willingness to learn new skills and systems.
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment.

Desirable
- Previous experience in a role covering all aspects of purchase ledger administration.
- Experience using SAP Concur.
- Good Microsoft Excel skills.
