Adams Morey is looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk
Adams Morey, one of the South Coast's leading commercial vehicle dealerships, is looking for an organised and detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our Finance team based at our Nursling site.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and financial skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will play a key role in ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately and payments are made on time, helping to maintain the smooth running of our finance function.
Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm, can be flexible with start and end time for the right candidate, i.e. 40 hours per week, 30 minutes lunch break (unpaid).
Salary
Up to £29,000 per annum, dependent on experience, will be reviewed after successful probationary period.
Key Responsibilities
- Process high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Match purchase invoices to purchase orders.
- Reconcile supplier statements and investigate any discrepancies.
- Prepare supplier payment runs in line with company procedures.
- Set up and maintain supplier accounts, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
- Respond to supplier queries in a professional and timely manner.
- Liaise with colleagues across the business to resolve invoice and payment issues.
- Assist with month-end procedures and reporting.
- Provide administrative support to the wider finance team as required.

Ideally, we are looking for:
- Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger, Accounts Payable or Finance Assistant role.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Experience using accounting or finance systems (experience with Kerridge/CDK or similar dealership management systems would be advantageous but is not essential).
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a busy team.
