Purchase Ledger Manager
Location: Kent
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000
Fixed-term contract: Until March 2027
We are seeking an excellent Purchase Ledger Manager that will support team performance, following the implementation of a new P2P system. The Purchase Ledger Manager will identify and resolve process issues, improve controls, and ensure the Purchase Ledger function operates effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and address performance issues within the Purchase Ledger team, implementing clear objectives and development plans where required
- Lead and manage the Purchase Ledger function, overseeing a team of up to four staff members
- Review and resolve issues arising from the recent implementation of a new P2P system
- Analyse existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement and greater efficiency
- Implement new ways of working to enhance productivity, controls, and service delivery
- Monitor team performance, ensuring KPIs and service standards are consistently met
- Coach, motivate, and develop team members to maximise performance and engagement
- Work closely with budget holders and stakeholders across the organisation to improve purchasing and invoice processes
- Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party suppliers and system providers
- Ensure supplier invoices are processed accurately and paid within agreed terms
- Manage supplier queries, statement reconciliations, and the resolution of aged items

Key Requirements
- Housing Association or Social Housing sector experience
- Experience leading and developing finance teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to identify root causes and implement practical solutions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience working with Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) systems
