Purchase Ledger Manager
As a Purchase Ledger Manager you will be the face of the Purchase Ledger function across the business and you will be the foundation of further developing our Purchase Ledger system(s), whilst also managing a great team of Assistants within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. What Will Your Day Look Like?
You Will Be
- Overseeing the accurate processing of high-volume supplier invoices, credit notes, purchase order and contra charges, in a fast-paced environment.
- Managing and communicating period end processes, liaising with other finance colleagues ensuring awareness of implications for the wider business.
- Ensuring all internal policies and procedures are adhered to, minimising risk to the business from fraud, error and other irregularities.
- Working with the wider finance, commercial and IT teams to develop and enhance systems approach and efficiencies.
- Liaise directly with software developers / providers to resolve day-to-day issues.
- Mentor and develop all team members, set performance targets and manage daily workloads to meet business needs.

What You'll Need To Succeed
- Previous experience running a large Purchase Ledger department in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience and an understanding of VAT and Construction Industry Scheme (CIS).
- Extensive experience of accounts software packages e.g. Microsoft Dynamics (or similar).
- An ability to modernise workflows thereby reducing manual intervention.
- An ability to take sole responsibility for enforcing robust internal controls and accounts payable policies.
- A proactive attitude and an ability to foster a culture of proactive, continuous and accountability.
