Purchase Ledger Supervisor – Glasgow Area
Pertemps are delighted to be working with a client who is a leader in their field and has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Purchase Ledger professional looking to develop their career.
Salary: Up to mid-£30s
Working Hours: 35-hour working week

Based outside Glasgow, this is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of the Purchase Ledger function, building strong supplier relationships and supporting a wider finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day Purchase Ledger function
- Supervising and supporting Purchase Ledger Assistants
- Processing and reconciling supplier invoices and statements
- Preparing and managing payment runs
- Dealing with supplier queries, disputes, and outstanding credit notes
- Monitoring the Purchase Ledger inbox and allocating workload
- Completing month-end reconciliations and aged creditor reports
- Producing VAT, supplier spend, and other financial reports
- Working closely with internal departments and external suppliers
- Supporting the Finance Manager with cash flow and payment forecasting
- Identifying training and development opportunities within the team

About You
- Previous experience within Purchase Ledger/Accounts Payable
- Strong understanding of AP processes
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident managing queries and building relationships with stakeholders
- Experience supervising or supporting a team would be highly desirable
- Good Excel and finance systems knowledge
- AAT or equivalent would be advantageous, but not essential
