All About The Role
Based at our Bradford site, we have a Purchasing Assistant role to support our Purchasing Manager. You’ll be responsible for providing full administrative and purchasing support. This important position contributes to the quality of customer service and the achievement of targets and site performance. The hours for this role are 25 per week, ideally 9 am to 2.30pm Monday to Friday.

- Helping to identify and order group central stocks
- Supporting with Logistics for bringing material in - planning incoming loads and communicating with suppliers, depots, operations, and commercial teams.
- Monitor, progress, and checking of orders with suppliers.
- Entering purchase orders, verifying accuracy
- Ensuring accurate and efficient receipt of incoming materials in accordance with the Goods Inward Schedule and procedure.
- Accurate completion of customs declarations/customs clearance
- Helping to implement new CBAM rules
- Sourcing material for group enquiries
- Raising POs
- Managing stock replacements on short lead time availability
- Looking after goods in booking references
- Liaising with central stock warehousing to discuss shortfalls.
- Resolving issues/problems.
- Any ad hoc duties to contribute to ensuring the department achieves all high standards of service, including scanning/filing/storage of documentation and general duties.

Essential Skills For The Role
- Previous experience within a purchasing department would be very beneficial
- Proactive attitude & approach with a one team mindset.
- High level of accuracy with good computer skills, namely Excel, MS Office & Outlook
- Build strong relationships quickly & holds excellent communications skills
- Highly organised & methodical in your approach
