Are you an organised and detail-focused Purchasing Assistant looking for your next career opportunity? Do you have experience in purchasing, procurement, stock control, inventory management or working within a busy warehouse environment?

Pacifica is one of the UK's leading domestic appliance repair specialists, supporting some of the country's biggest manufacturers and retailers. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Purchasing Assistant to join our team based at our Washington warehouse in Tyne & Wear.

Our Purchasing team plays a vital role in ensuring our engineers have the correct spare parts available to complete repairs for customers across the UK. You will support the purchasing and availability of spare parts, working closely with suppliers, our warehouse team and internal departments to maintain excellent service levels.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful and growing business where accuracy, organisation and attention to detail are essential.

The Role

As a Purchasing Assistant, you will support the effective procurement, inventory control and distribution of spare parts across the business. Working closely with suppliers, warehouse colleagues and internal teams, you will help ensure:

  • Purchase orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Spare parts are available when required.
  • Stock records remain accurate.
  • Supplier issues are identified and resolved quickly.
  • Operational disruption is minimised.

You will use internal systems and Microsoft Excel to maintain accurate records, monitor orders, update information and support stock reporting.

This varied role would suit someone with experience in purchasing, procurement, stock control, inventory management, logistics, warehouse administration or a similar operational support role.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
