Purpose
In this role you will work closely with the wider Supply Chain, Procurement, Commercial and Operations teams to support the site’s purchasing requirements. The role will provide effective procurement administration, maintain accurate records and systems, and help ensure materials, goods and services are available when required.
Responsibilities
- Place and manage purchase orders for merchanted products, site consumables and services
- Monitor stock availability and anticipated demand to ensure appropriate levels of merchanted products and essential site supplies are maintained
- Proactively identify potential shortages, supplier delays or availability issues and take appropriate action to minimise disruption
- Liaise with suppliers to confirm pricing, quantities, availability and delivery dates
- Support the sourcing of new products and suppliers and obtain quotations when required
- Maintain accurate product, supplier, pricing and purchasing information within the ERP system
- Complete customer and supplier packaging, sustainability and waste-related forms accurately and within the required timescales
- Monitor outstanding purchase orders and resolve delivery, invoice or supply queries
- Assist in minimising obsolete and excess stock while maintaining sufficient availability
- Provide occasional support in receiving, signing for and directing site deliveries when required, including during periods of annual leave or absence

Skills & Experience
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills
- Good attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records
- Ability to follow instructions, processes and procedures to the required standard
- Ability to communicate information clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office
- Accurate keyboard and data-entry skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and liaise with colleagues, suppliers and other departments
- Willingness to learn purchasing processes, systems and site requirements.
- Understanding of relevant environmental, health, safety and quality policies and procedures

Desirable
- Previous experience in a purchasing, procurement, supply chain or administrative role
- Experience of raising and managing purchase orders
- Previous experience using an ERP or stock-management system
- Experience communicating with suppliers and resolving order or delivery queries
- Experience completing packaging, waste, sustainability or customer information forms
- Experience supporting stock control, inventory counts or material reconciliation activities
