Purchasing Data Analyst

Location: Cwmbran
Work Arrangement: On-Site

We are seeking a proactive and data-driven Purchasing Data Analyst to support the Purchasing function through robust data management, reporting, and continuous improvement activities. This role will play a key part in driving data quality, developing performance insights, supporting digital transformation initiatives, and enhancing Purchasing processes across the business.

Your Role

You will play a key part in driving data quality, developing performance insights, supporting digital transformation initiatives, and enhancing Purchasing processes across the business.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and analyse Purchasing KPIs and performance dashboards covering Quality, Cost, Delivery, and operational metrics.
  • Create and enhance Power BI reports and dashboards to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Act as the Purchasing focal point for ERP data, processes, and data quality management.
  • Work closely with data owners and stakeholders to improve data governance, accuracy, and consistency across Purchasing systems.
  • Support the implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation opportunities within Purchasing processes and reporting
  • Manage and maintain Power BI and Power Platform applications to drive business efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) subject matter expert, supporting users, delivering training, and coordinating PRA activities.

What You'll Bring

Essential:

  • Computer literate with MS Office Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), MS Outlook, MRP Systems
  • Ability to communicate at all levels
  • Ability to establish good working relationships across departments and with supplier representatives at all levels
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills

Desirable:

  • Engineering Degree
  • Team Management / Leadership skills
  • Read and understand engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of Purchasing activity within a manufacturing environment
