Purchasing Executive | Manufacturing | 12-month FTC | Witney | £40,000pa plus benefits:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Purchasing Executive to join a well-established specialist manufacturer in the Witney area. With growth plans to scale their £100m turnover business to over £200m over the next 5 years, the Purchasing Executive will be joining a small Supply Chain team, whose remit is to ensure material and component availability meet their production requirements through effective purchasing, supplier management and inventory control, supporting the company's operational and commercial objectives.

This Purchasing Executive role would suit someone who is in a Buying, Purchasing, Supply Chain or Materials Coordination role looking to gain more experience. It would also suit someone who is in a Purchasing or Buying role, but wants to have more involvement in dealing with suppliers on a day-to-day basis.

  • 4 years or more of experience in a manufacturing focused purchasing or buying role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Power BI
  • Experience using an ERP system
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to respond effectively to changing priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong supplier relationship management and influencing skills
  • Excellent organisational, prioritisation and time-management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues and business improvement initiatives
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
