What you will be doing

  • Purchasing of goods, services and resource requirements via third party Distribution chain, working with and supporting the Telco and IT Services Procurement function through supporting Sales teams ensuring that each transaction provides best value, compliance, on-time delivery and on-time supplier invoice payments.
  • Responsible for day-to-day delivery of accurate and efficient procurement purchasing of Resource, Hardware, Software and Services from approved suppliers across a broad portfolio
  • Effective negotiation, compliant processing, goods receipting, on-time delivery and on-time payment of supplier invoices
  • Manage and comply with company procurement purchasing order processes including order creation, item creation, goods receipting, back order reports, returns, resource timesheets and renewals
  • Work collaboratively and compliantly across all Procurement teams, Sales and key stakeholders
  • Proven experience in working with third party suppliers and distribution supply chain
  • Arranging transport of goods and tracking orders to ensure timely delivery
  • Coordinating inventory management with warehouse for hardware call offs
  • Coordinating processing of engineering timesheets accurately and timely
  • Monitoring stock and escalating to suppliers and procurement management as required
  • Strong written and communication skills to support the Sales function
  • Proven experience in application of attention to detail and overall diligence to identify and mitigate risk
  • Develop and maintain internal and external relationships to become a trusted advisor
  • Experience of inventory control, administration and processing requisitions
  • Follow internal procurement operational process to record data
  • Evidence additional cost savings achieved through effective negotiation at point of order to optimise margins and reduce operating costs
  • Contribute to, maintain and accomplish team performance levels (KPI’s) to consistently achieve internal departmental and business objectives
  • Innovative to support, develop and optimise purchasing processes and tools
  • Pro-active approach to all areas of responsibility
  • Able to work as part of a team and independently
  • Align to Ricoh’s values and the department core competencies
  • Open to undertake self-paced, supported learning and training to upskill/cross skill and maintain IT Services knowledge and experience

You will ideally have

  • Proven relevant experience in a procurement function undertaking activities associated with purchasing from distributors / third party suppliers
  • Proven experience of clean order management and item creation processes
  • Ideally the successful applicant will hold excellent knowledge and experience of co-ordinating orders pertaining to engineering resource and IT Services product architectures
  • Proven customer service experience with good interpersonal, analytical, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent relationship management underpinned by being professional and confident in manner
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal/external stakeholders, suppliers, customers, peers, senior management and the wider business at all levels of seniority
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Oracle ERP system and capability to learn the use of other software applications
  • Commercial awareness
  • Interpersonal skills, particularly in (internal and external) relationships and commercial negotiation
  • Ability to identify and mitigate risk to the organisation
  • Ability to cope with pressure and adapt to situations
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Can remain calm under pressure
