Purchasing & Operations Manager
Bath / Swindon, UK | Hybrid | £45,000 to £50,000
KEY DETAILS
- Location: Hybrid into Bath
- Reports to: CEO, Co-Founder
- Salary: £45,000 to £50,000
- Contract: Full-time, Permanent

THE OPPORTUNITY
We're partnering with a fast-growing, purpose-led consumer brand looking for an experienced Purchasing & Operations Manager to take ownership of a broad and influential operational remit. Working closely with the CEO and Co-Founder, this role sits at the heart of the business, connecting purchasing, supply chain, stock, fulfilment, technology and sustainability. It's an opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to the detail, solving problems quickly and building the processes and systems that allow a growing ecommerce business to scale.
THE ROLE
1) Purchasing & Supply Chain
- Own end-to-end procurement across the business, from supplier sourcing and negotiation through to ongoing relationship and performance management
- Develop purchasing and replenishment plans aligned to demand
- Manage supplier performance across cost, quality and service
- Continually look for opportunities to strengthen supply chain resilience and efficiency
- Manage and develop the Purchasing & Supply Chain Associate

2) Stock, Fulfilment & Operations
- Take ownership of product flow from supplier through to warehouse, fulfilment and ultimately the customer
- Manage stock levels, accuracy and reconciliation across warehouse and third-party locations
- Work closely with fulfilment teams to maintain smooth D2C and B2B order processing
- Identify operational problems, understand their root cause and put scalable solutions in place
3) Systems & Technology
- Help define and lead projects that improve automation, processes and operational technology across the business
- Act as a knowledgeable partner around WMS systems, picking sequences and low-stock management
- Leverage technology and AI to create smarter, more detailed processes
4) Cross-Functional Operations
- Coordinate new product and campaign launches
- Work regularly with the customer care team
- Provide hands-on operational support to the founders where needed
5) Sustainability & Compliance
- Support key sustainability and compliance initiatives, including EPR reporting
ABOUT YOU
- Proven operations and supply chain experience, ideally within ecommerce, consumer products or a fast-growing business
- Strong purchasing, procurement and stock management experience
- Experience working with suppliers, warehouses and fulfilment partners
- Strong systems capability, including WMS or ERP platforms (Shopify and Recharge experience highly useful)
- A natural interest in technology, automation and AI-enabled processes
- Confidence managing multiple priorities in a lean, entrepreneurial environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with founders and senior stakeholders
- A hands-on mindset, comfortable moving between strategic improvement and operational detail
