Role Description
The Purchasing Planning Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Macclesfield, responsible for overseeing procurement and production planning activities to support efficient manufacturing operations. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Managing material purchasing
- Maintaining optimal inventory levels
- Coordinating with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and cost-effective sourcing

The role involves:
- Developing and monitoring production plans
- Aligning supply with demand forecasts
- Collaborating with manufacturing, logistics, and finance teams to support continuous improvement in the supply chain
The Purchasing Planning Manager will:
- Analyse data and performance metrics
- Address variances
- Implement processes that reduce waste, improve lead times, and support DoorCo’s growth and innovation goals
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Production Planning and Supply Chain Management to coordinate materials, capacity, and demand.
- Experience in Procurement and Inventory Management to ensure reliable supply, cost control, and stock optimisation.
- Solid Analytical Skills to interpret data, forecast requirements, identify trends, and drive process improvements.
- Proficiency with Excel or similar tools for planning, reporting, and performance tracking.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across operations, finance, and suppliers.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
