Horton, Bristol

No Agencies

Bill Bennett Engineering is looking for a Purchasing & Sales Coordinator to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organised, commercially minded and keen to develop within an established engineering and manufacturing business.
We are prepared to train the right person. You do not need to have worked in our exact industry before. We are far more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, strong communication skills, good organisation and a willingness to learn.

The Role

You will work across both purchasing and internal sales, supporting production, suppliers and customers on a day-to-day basis.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Raising and managing purchase orders.
  • Obtaining quotations from suppliers and comparing price, quality and lead time.
  • Chasing outstanding orders and dealing with late deliveries before they affect production.
  • Sourcing materials, components and consumables.
  • Maintaining accurate supplier and purchasing information.
  • Handling customer and dealer enquiries by telephone and email.
  • Preparing quotations and processing sales orders.
  • Supporting spare parts and aftersales enquiries.
  • Learning our product range so you can help customers identify the correct parts and products.
  • Keeping customers informed regarding availability, orders and deliveries.
  • Maintaining accurate information within our MIE Trak ERP system.
  • Working closely with production, engineering, quality, warehouse and management.
  • Assisting with delivery and shipping coordination where required.
  • Following enquiries, orders and supplier issues through to completion rather than allowing them to sit unresolved.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
