About the role
Do you have experience managing stock, working with suppliers and keeping inventory under control?

We're a growing, Americana-inspired bakery brand creating fresh, handcrafted doughnuts loved by customers across the UK. We're looking for a Purchasing and Stock Manager to manage our stock and supplier relationships, ensuring accurate inventory levels and helping us effectively manage stock, waste and costs across our production operation.
Your responsibilities
- Managing all existing supplier relationships
- Negotiating with existing suppliers to get the best price possible for the business
- Developing new supplier relationships
- Researching new suppliers to extend and improve our stock range
- Designing and implementing an inventory tracking system to accurately monitor stock levels
- Maintaining an accurate inventory database that includes detailed information on par levels and stock
- Monitoring stock usage and identifying discrepancies or areas requiring further investigation
- Preparing and documenting daily deliveries and shipments
- Collating reports on stock waste and profit for senior management
- Advising senior management on continuous improvement measures to reduce costs to the business
- Working closely with production and our on-site caretaker to ensure that inventory and warehouse areas follow relevant health and safety regulations

What we're looking for
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- Strong numerical skills and confident working with stock, waste and cost information
- Confident communicator with the ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Strong negotiation skills and a commercially aware approach
- Confident using inventory systems, Excel and other IT systems
- Proactive approach to identifying stock discrepancies, improving stock control and reducing costs
- Reliable and able to take ownership while working collaboratively with the wider Rodeo team

Experience
- Previous experience in stock control, inventory management, procurement or a similar role is required.
- Experience working with suppliers and negotiating pricing is preferred. Experience within food production, hospitality or a similar environment would be advantageous.
Role details
- Full-time, permanent position
- 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- Based at our Reading Central Production Unit
- Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
Pay
- £35,000 to £40,000 per year
