Purchasing Team Leader (Fixed-Term Contract to Christmas 2026)

CDM Recruitment is working with a well-established engineering and industrial services business to recruit a Purchasing Team Leader on a fixed-term contract until Christmas 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Buyer, Purchasing Coordinator or Procurement professional looking to step into a leadership role, managing a small purchasing team within a busy engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a small Purchasing team.
- Manage purchasing activities for materials, equipment, and services.
- Expedite supplier orders and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Coordinate with engineering and operational teams to meet project deadlines.
- Monitor stock levels and purchasing compliance.
- Drive process improvements and identify cost-saving opportunities.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Buying, or Supply Chain.
- Background within engineering, manufacturing, industrial services, or a similar technical environment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and IT skills.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is advantageous but not essential.
