Knitwear Buyer
Pure Collection | Wourth Group
Pure Collection is a British luxury knitwear and cashmere brand, renowned for exceptional quality, timeless style, and craftsmanship. As part of the global Wourth Group, we combine entrepreneurial spirit with the strength and stability of an international organization.
We are seeking a commercially driven Knitwear Buyer to lead the development and delivery of our knitwear category for Pure Collection. This is an exciting opportunity for a product-focused Buyer or Junior Buyer ready for their next challenge who thrives on creating compelling collections, building strong supplier partnerships and driving business growth within a much loved British Knitwear Brand.
The Role
Reporting into the Buying & Design Director, you will have responsibility for the strategic planning, sourcing, development and performance of the knitwear category, ensuring collections are aligned with brand vision, customer expectations, and commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category strategies to deliver sales & margin targets.
- Build commercially balanced seasonal collections that reflect Pure Collection's premium positioning.
- Identify emerging trends, colours, yarns, silhouettes, and market opportunities.
- Work closely with Design, Merchandising, and Technical teams throughout the product development process.
- Source and develop products with international suppliers, ensuring quality, sustainability, and cost objectives are achieved.
- Lead supplier negotiations and manage critical paths through to delivery.
- Analyse trading performance and customer insights to inform future ranges.
- Drive continuous improvement across product, process, and supplier relationships.
- Conduct regular competitor and market analysis to maintain a strong market position.
- Support and develop junior members of the buying team.
- Work cross functionally with marketing, digital and creative teams to deliver commercial, accurate and visually exciting selling propositions to the customer.

About You
You will be a Buyer or Junior Buyer with a background in knitwear, ideally within premium, luxury, or lifestyle fashion brands looking for a new challenge.
We are looking for
- Proven buying experience in knitwear categories.
- Strong product knowledge, particularly in knitwear yarns, construction, and garment development.
- Excellent commercial acumen with a track record of delivering growth and profitability.
- Experience working with global supplier networks.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Passion for product, quality, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Willingness to travel internationally when required.
- Good understanding of brand DNA and the importance of 'collection coherence' across categories.
- Organised, team player with ability to manage a complex E2E business process, sometimes across group as well as business.
