About the opportunity

You will support the technical development of TSG's solar (PV) and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects throughout the complete project lifecycle, delivering high-quality, optimised designs that meet client, regulatory, and commercial requirements. Additionally, you'll provide in-house technical assurance across solar and BESS schemes within the TSG pipeline, working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure efficient, compliant, and buildable project designs.

What you'll do

  • Produce detailed PV and BESS system designs, including layouts, electrical schematics, and equipment specifications.
  • Support feasibility studies, site assessments, and early-stage project evaluations for new opportunities.
  • Develop and review yield assessments, system performance models, and technical reports.
  • Collaborate with commercial, project management, and delivery teams to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective.
  • Provide technical input into tender submissions and client proposals.
  • Review and validate third-party designs to ensure compliance with TSG standards and industry best practice.
  • Ensure all designs meet relevant UK standards, grid requirements, and regulatory obligations.
  • Liaise with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) and other stakeholders as required.
  • Identify risks, constraints, and opportunities during the design phase and propose solutions.
  • Support project handover from pre-construction to delivery teams, ensuring technical clarity and continuity.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of solar and BESS technologies, standards, and market developments.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
