What you’ll do (the role)
Summary
Our Engineering Center of Excellence team are offering a 6 month Internship based in London.
The main role of the internship will be to support a project investigating PV module behaviour, through testing and operational data analysis.

Following an introduction to the project’s technical background, you will analyse laboratory and on-site test results, help develop further testing programmes, and assist with related logistics by coordinating with internal teams and external partners. You will also regularly share your technical insights and findings with the wider project team.
Responsibilities of the Role
- Project management assistance
- Analyse performance data from field-tested PV modules and provide technical recommendations for ongoing testing phases
- Reading relevant reports and papers to gain further technical insights into the topic.
- Ongoing communication and meetings with others working on the projects
- Support on coordination and administration surrounding the project.
- Feedback to line manager and team
Why you’ll make a great member of the team
Experience & Knowledge Required
- Knowledge or experience of renewable energy, solar PV, or semiconductor technology.
- Basic understanding of how solar PV devices work
- Ideally some research experience (which can be from within the bachelor’s or master’s degree)
- Data analysis experience
Skills Required
- Project management
- Critical assessment of reports and literature
- Ability to practically apply engineering concepts
- Enjoyment of problem solving and analytics
- Microsoft office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Skills in Excel or other data analysis software (Python, PowerBI, R etc.)
- Team working
- Attention to detail
- Self-motivated
- Fluency in written and spoken English

Education Required
- Having or working towards a degree in physics or engineering (electrical/renewable energy preferred) from an accredited college/University
