Overview
We're working with a leading fintech organisation looking to hire a talented Python Developer to join its growing engineering team in London.
This is an opportunity to work alongside exceptional technologists from some of the world's leading technology companies and trading firms, helping to build cutting-edge software that powers the financial industry.
You'll play a key role in developing one of the most scalable and high-performance data platforms in the sector, with genuine ownership across the full software development lifecycle and the chance to make a real impact on the business.
What you'll be doing
- Designing and developing scalable applications and services using Python.
- Building and maintaining RESTful microservices within a distributed architecture.
- Developing platforms capable of processing and analysing extremely large datasets.
- Collaborating closely with engineers and stakeholders to deliver robust, high-quality software.
- Contributing throughout the full software development lifecycle, from design through to deployment.

What they're looking for
- 2+ years of commercial Python development experience.
- Experience building or working with RESTful microservices.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Experience working with large-scale datasets.
- Exposure to big data technologies such as Spark, Kafka, or similar.
- Previous experience within financial services is advantageous but not essential.
- A strong academic background, ideally with a degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
