Senior Python Software Engineer | Hedge Fund | £150,000 - £250,000 + Bonus

We are working with a leading quantitative investment firm to identify an experienced Senior Python Software Engineer to join their growing technology team.

This is an opportunity to work on the internal frameworks, services and platforms that power the business, supporting investment and technology teams across the organisation.

You’ll be joining a highly technical environment where performance, scalability and engineering quality are critical - with the opportunity to make a direct impact on the productivity of the wider business.

  • Design, develop and maintain high-performance, scalable software solutions.
  • Build company-wide productivity tools, frameworks and platforms.
  • Write clean, well-documented and testable Python code.
  • Work on distributed systems and architectures.
  • Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to design and deliver new features.
  • Contribute to code reviews, engineering best practices and development processes.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and continuously improve platform performance.

What We're Looking For

  • 6+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in high-performance Python and its wider ecosystem.
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems and distributed architectures.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong Linux experience and version control.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation.
