About The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Python Developer to join a prominent global consulting firm on a 12-month contract basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects across various industries, designing and implementing Python-based solutions that drive business efficiency and innovation. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with client teams, business analysts, architects, and project managers to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet client requirements. Due to the nature of this role, extensive travel within the UK (up to 80%) is expected, with regular visits to client sites to understand their needs and ensure successful project delivery. This position is available exclusively through an Umbrella or PAYE engagement model, emphasizing compliance and transparency throughout the employment process.

Qualifications
- Proven commercial experience in Python development, demonstrating a strong understanding of coding best practices and software design principles.
- Experience working in a consulting environment or on client-facing projects, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to gather and analyze client requirements effectively and translate them into technical solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Familiarity with related technologies such as RESTful APIs, databases, and cloud services is advantageous.
- Flexibility to travel extensively within the UK as required by project demands.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Python applications and microservices that align with client needs and project specifications.
- Engage directly with clients to understand their requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure solutions are delivered on time and within scope.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and Project Managers to ensure seamless integration and deployment of solutions.
- Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
- Conduct code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, to promote continuous improvement.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in Python and related technologies to continuously enhance skills and project outcomes.
