What You Would Do
Typical responsibilities could include:
- Developing and maintaining Python-based backend applications, APIs and microservices
- Working with frameworks such as Django to build scalable solutions
- Designing and implementing distributed systems and data pipelines
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS and GCP
- Contributing to CI/CD pipeline development and infrastructure-as-code using Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform
- Writing clean, maintainable code and participating in code reviews
- Troubleshooting and optimizing application performance

What You Could Bring
Must-have
- Solid experience developing with Python, including working knowledge of Django or similar frameworks
- Experience with APIs and microservices architecture
- Familiarity with version control and CI/CD practices
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Ability to work with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Right to work in the United Kingdom
Nice-to-have
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of distributed systems and data quality practices
- Certifications such as PCEP, PCAP or AWS Certified Developer – Associate
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
- Familiarity with Linux environments and Bash scripting
