What You Would Do

Typical responsibilities could include:

  • Developing and maintaining Python-based backend applications, APIs and microservices
  • Working with frameworks such as Django to build scalable solutions
  • Designing and implementing distributed systems and data pipelines
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS and GCP
  • Contributing to CI/CD pipeline development and infrastructure-as-code using Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform
  • Writing clean, maintainable code and participating in code reviews
  • Troubleshooting and optimizing application performance

What You Could Bring

Must-have

  • Solid experience developing with Python, including working knowledge of Django or similar frameworks
  • Experience with APIs and microservices architecture
  • Familiarity with version control and CI/CD practices
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
  • Ability to work with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of distributed systems and data quality practices
  • Certifications such as PCEP, PCAP or AWS Certified Developer – Associate
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
  • Familiarity with Linux environments and Bash scripting
