About The Opportunity
We're seeking Python Developers for contract roles based in Manchester. These positions could see you working on projects that span microservices architecture, data pipelines, and cloud-based solutions. You would collaborate with experienced engineering teams to deliver robust, well-tested code in fast-paced environments where your contributions make a direct impact on project success.
Typical Role Overview
- Location: Manchester, Greater Manchester, England
- Type: Contract
- Rate: £500–700 per day
- Experience level: Mid-level
- Key focus: Python development, microservices, cloud platforms
What You Would Do
Typical responsibilities could include:
- Designing and implementing Python solutions using modern frameworks and best practices
- Developing microservices and APIs that integrate with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP
- Writing clean, maintainable code with strong test coverage and adherence to CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Troubleshooting and optimizing application performance in distributed systems
- Contributing to code reviews and knowledge sharing within development teams
- Working with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes where applicable

What You Could Bring
Must-have
- Proven professional experience developing in Python (3+ years)
- Strong understanding of object-oriented and functional programming principles
- Experience building or consuming APIs and microservices architecture
- Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS or GCP)
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD practices
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Right to work in the United Kingdom
Nice-to-have
- PCAP – Certified Associate in Python or PCPP – Certified Professional in Python
- AWS Certified Developer – Associate certification
- Experience with Kubernetes and Docker in production environments
- Familiarity with data pipeline development and data quality practices
- Experience with .NET, ASP.NET, React or Java ecosystems
- Knowledge of Linux and Bash scripting
