Python Developer - Hedge Fund
You'll be writing Python at one of the leading hedge funds in the market, sitting right in the front office alongside traders.
This isn't a back office support role. You're embedded in the front office team, building tools and systems that traders use directly. You see the impact of your work in real time, and the people around you understand and care about the technology.
The company has been outperforming most of its competitors this year, and that performance runs through the whole business. You're not joining a firm that's coasting. There's momentum here, and the engineering culture reflects that.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
The structure is flat. There's no long chain of managers between you and the decisions that matter. You grow by doing great work and being recognised for it, not by waiting for a title change. Individual contributors are respected and given real ownership over what they build.
You're working in a hybrid setup 4 days per week, so you get the benefit of being in the room with traders and teammates when it counts, without being tied to a desk five days a week.

On the technical side, Python is at the core of what you're doing. You're comfortable writing clean, production-ready code, and you want to work somewhere that cares about how that code is written, not just that it runs.
This would be a great role in your career if you're ready to step into a more demanding and rewarding environment.
