Senior Python Developer – Data Engineering
Remote – UK | Competitive Salary + Bonus | Start ASAP
Accelerant is transforming the specialty insurance industry through technology, data and analytics. Our Risk Exchange connects specialty MGAs with risk capital partners, using proprietary data and technology to create a more efficient insurance ecosystem.
We’re looking for a Senior Python Developer to join our Data Engineering team and help build and evolve the technology behind our platform.
The Role
You'll work as part of a highly technical engineering team, using Python to build scalable solutions and work with large volumes of data.
You'll be involved in:
- Developing production-grade software using Python
- Building and improving data pipelines and data platforms
- Working with large datasets and data lakes
- Contributing to intelligent, technology-led solutions incorporating AI and LLMs
- Working with modern tools and approaches to support the development of the platform
- Working across different areas of the platform and helping troubleshoot technical challenges
- Contributing to technical architecture and engineering decisions
- Working closely with Data Engineers, Software Engineers and other technical teams

What We're Looking For
- Strong commercial experience with Python
- Strong software engineering fundamentals
- Experience building scalable production systems
- Experience with cloud technologies
- Experience with data pipelines, data lakes or data-intensive systems is highly desirable
- An interest in AI, LLMs and modern engineering practices
- Ability to understand and work across different parts of a technology platform
