About The Role
We are currently supporting a prominent international consulting firm in their search for an experienced Python Developer to join their team on an initial 12-month contract basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled developer to work on innovative projects that impact various industries worldwide. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Python-based solutions that meet client requirements and enhance operational efficiencies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, architects, and project managers, to deliver high-quality software solutions. This position requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to diverse project environments. The role involves significant travel within the UK, up to 80%, to client sites, providing a dynamic and engaging work experience.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Python development, with proven experience in delivering scalable and reliable applications. You should have a solid understanding of software development best practices, including writing clean, well-tested code. Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing skills are essential, as you will be engaging directly with clients to gather requirements and present solutions. You should be comfortable working in a consulting environment, managing multiple priorities, and adapting to changing project scopes. A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Additionally, familiarity with cloud platforms, APIs, and database management will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Python applications, services, and APIs to meet client specifications and project requirements.
- Engage directly with clients to understand their needs, gather requirements, and translate them into technical solutions.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, and Project Managers to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and incorporate relevant technologies into projects.
- Travel extensively within the UK to client sites, providing on-site support and project implementation as required.
