About The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Python Developer to join our client's team on an initial 12-month contract basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic consulting environment, delivering innovative Python-based solutions to a diverse range of clients across multiple industries. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust applications that meet client requirements and support their strategic objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in Python development, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. This position involves extensive UK travel, with up to 80% of the time spent on client sites, requiring flexibility and adaptability.

Qualifications
- Proven commercial experience in Python development, demonstrating a strong understanding of software design and coding best practices.
- Experience working in a consulting or client-facing environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, version control, and testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with relevant frameworks, libraries, and tools such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI is advantageous.
- Ability to quickly grasp complex requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the UK and work on-site at client locations.
- Relevant technical certifications or degrees in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python applications and microservices aligned with client needs.
- Collaborate closely with business analysts, solution architects, project managers, and clients to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Conduct code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Engage regularly with clients to provide technical expertise, progress updates, and gather feedback.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve development practices.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during project implementation and post-deployment phases.
