🚀 Senior Python Programmer | Permanent | Ipswich | Up to £90,000 I’m working with a leading organisation in the telecoms sector that is looking to hire a Senior Python Programmer to join their growing engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing automation solutions, backend services and APIs that support large-scale 4G/5G network operations and enterprise platforms.
📍 Location: Ipswich, UK
💼 Role: Senior Python Programmer
📅 Type: Permanent
⏰ Hours: 40 hours per week (Full Time)
💷 Salary: Up to £90,000
🏢 Working Pattern: 5 days per week onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain Python automation frameworks and backend services
- Develop RESTful APIs using Flask or FastAPI
- Create lightweight web applications and dashboards using HTML/CSS
- Design and optimise SQL & NoSQL databases
- Develop Docker-based applications and CI/CD pipelines
- Work within Linux environments using Bash scripting
- Integrate with telecom network systems for automation, monitoring and validation
- Collaborate with QA, DevOps and Network Engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions

Essential Skills:
- Strong Python development experience
- Hands-on experience developing REST APIs using Flask or FastAPI
- Strong HTML/CSS skills
- Solid experience with SQL databases
- Docker, Git and CI/CD (Jenkins/GitLab)
- Linux administration and shell scripting
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (HTTP, TCP/IP, DNS, SSH)

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the telecoms domain, particularly around network automation, 4G Core, 5G or Service Based Architecture (SBA). This experience is essential for the role.
