About The Company

Brio Digital is a leading technology solutions provider dedicated to delivering innovative digital services across various sectors. With a focus on excellence, security, and user-centric design, Brio Digital partners with public and private organizations to drive digital transformation and improve service delivery. Our team comprises skilled professionals committed to leveraging the latest technologies to create scalable, reliable, and efficient solutions that meet our clients' unique needs.

About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Python/Django Software Engineer to join our dynamic team working on a critical central government programme. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and enhancement of secure digital services hosted on AWS. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications and APIs, ensuring they are reliable, scalable, and aligned with government standards. The role is primarily remote, with an expectation of being onsite in London once or twice a month, fostering collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver impactful solutions.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python and Django development, with proven experience working in cloud environments, particularly AWS. A solid understanding of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, and experience building RESTful APIs are essential. Candidates should demonstrate familiarity with automated testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies. Security clearance (SC) is a mandatory requirement, given the nature of the projects involved. Additionally, experience working within the public sector or with government standards is highly desirable.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
