Tenth Revolution Group is recruiting on behalf of a Microsoft Gold Partner for a Python Developer to join a small, high-performing systematic trading team.
The team develops and runs market-making and trend-following strategies across centralised and decentralised finance. This is an opportunity to work closely with traders and quantitative researchers, building the production software and platform integrations that enable strategies to operate in live markets.
As part of a small engineering team, you will have genuine ownership from the outset. Your work will move from idea to production quickly, with a direct and visible impact on how the team trades and operates.
The Role
You will own significant areas of the trading platform, including trading venue connectivity, execution components and the analytics and observability layer used to monitor strategy and system performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain integrations with trading venues and brokers using REST and WebSocket APIs.
- Develop production Python components from strategy designs produced by traders and quantitative researchers.
- Diagnose and resolve live connectivity, data integrity and reliability issues.
- Build and maintain structured logging, metrics, alerting and dashboards covering platform and strategy health.
- Own deployment and infrastructure for the systems you build, including CI/CD pipelines.
- Contribute to code reviews, testing, documentation and the ongoing improvement of the engineering environment.
- Work independently with sometimes ambiguous requirements—scoping work, delivering it and taking accountability for it in production.
What We Are Looking For
- At least 3 years’ experience developing production Python systems relied upon by other users or teams.
- Strong asynchronous Python knowledge and a practical understanding of concurrency.
- Solid SQL and database experience.
- Experience building real-time or event-driven systems where reliability, ordering, latency or data quality mattered.
- Strong experience integrating with third-party APIs, including REST and WebSockets, and debugging those integrations in production.
- Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code; Azure experience would be beneficial.
- A proactive communicator who is comfortable working directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable Experience
- An interest in financial markets, trading, digital assets or decentralised finance.
- Building observability into production systems, including logs, metrics, alerts and dashboards.
- Performance profiling and optimisation, Cython or C extensions.
- Exposure to TypeScript or Node.js.
