About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Hackajob Ltd. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing our platform to ensure a seamless experience for both job seekers and employers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for building innovative products that make a difference in the tech community.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A relevant master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in software development, with a strong understanding of web technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and frameworks like React or Angular.
  • Experience with backend development using languages such as Node.js, Python, or Java.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Strong knowledge of database systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable and efficient software solutions to enhance our platform’s functionality.
  • Collaborate with product teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Maintain and improve existing codebase, ensuring stability and performance.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and incorporate best practices into development processes.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development workflows and methodologies.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
